PI's Master Rapper is gone


The Philippine's Pillar of Rap has given up his battle with Leukemia just this noon. Diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) seven months ago, the music man undergone several chemotherapy sessions and even planned a bone marrow transplant. Most of his followers saw the hope that he might recover when he sang again live at his noontime show last October 2008. But unfortunately he left the Philippine Music Scene permanently.

He was a man of patriotism in which he had shown in his music works. He makes us all Filipinos proud when he sang the Mga Kababayan in 1990 (I remember my elementary days!). He opened the doors for the likes of Andrew E., Gloc 9 and a lot of Pinoy rappers. He is also remembered for classic films like Bagets and Ninja Kids. Truly the industry lost a great talent.

Goodbye Master Rapper, thank you for the inspirations through your songs and may you rest in peace in the hands of our Almighty Father. Adieu Francis M., you will be missed...
